This picture shows a rider in traditional Portuguese dress and her Lusitano stallion wearing the appropriate tack. This varies quite considerably from that worn by PRE horses in their native Spain, in particular the bridle which is much more elaborate and decorated in silver. The dress of the lady rider is very elegant and is usually grey or black in colour with frogging on the short jacket which is worn over a wasitcoat and shirt (which may be frilled). The outfit is completed by a divided skirt, flat hat and of course, boots and gloves.
